The Men's Flyfot Correspondance Club
A brief history…
The Men’s Fylfot Correspondence Club was founded at the University of Iowa in 2007 by David Dunlap and Travis Head, with the purpose of keeping in touch with absent friends. The club has evolved into a collaborative drawing activity, and has grown to include Zach Stensen as a member, with additional contributions by Genevieve Lawrence, Aaron Richardson, Bill Donovan, and Joyce Ho. The group has exhibited regularly over the last three years, most recently in New York City at the Cue Foundation (as part of David’s solo show), and also at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at the State University of New York in New Paltz. Our project is in the spirit of friendship and communication, and though we have made many drawings and built a few boats together, we have yet to mail a letter.
